Triple M Land Farms, Inc. (TMLF) is a solid waste treatment facility fully permitted (Permit #107-00009) by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to accept non-hazardous petroleum-contaminated soil & wastewater. Only soils contaminated with petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, hydraulic fluids, kerosene, oil, and crude oil) may be accepted by the facility. TMLF is not a standard storage facility; rather it is a treatment facility utilizing bioremediation to remove the non-hazardous petroleum-contamination from the soil or water.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky has established clean soil standards. Your contaminated soil will be treated at the TMLF facility until it meets or exceeds these clean soil standards. Once the clean soil standards have been met, future liability to the Generator for the previously contaminated soils is eliminated, according to the clean soil standards set forth by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Providing the materials you deliver to TMLF meet the analysis parameters set forth in the accompanying Criteria Acceptance form, the bioremediation process utilized by TMLF will restore the soil to the state's clean soil levels. Upon payment, a statement certifying successful treatment will be issued if so requested.
TRIPLE M also accepts certain food wastes/grease trap. Please call for discussion. The Generator shall be aware that TRIPLE M shall not accept any hazardous wastes, creosote, or other wood preservative or chlorinated hydrocarbon contaminated soils or water.
Kentucky regulations reference federal law in many aspects of the handling of solid and hazardous wastes. While Triple M does not accept hazardous wastes for disposal we do accept fuels and oils for the purposes of recycling under the provisions of federal regulations discussed in Requirements for Recyclable Materials in Title 40 Part 261.6. By way of our fuels and oils recycling program many waste or off specification materials are kept away from environmentally unsound and costly disposal practices and returned to a useful state.
